This is a more in depth post about last years event! The 3rd BHPT Marathon Challenge was held in Burnham Park.
Over 110 participants took part by either running, jogging or walking the 1K track around the park.
80yr old Mick Hall managed a whole 42 lap marathon by himself! He started at 10am and finished by 5.30pm! Huge congratulations Mick!
Our team contest was won by Burnham Bowls club who managed 64 laps between them!
Lastly, the most number of laps by a runner, was by Kashinath Nippani who completed 35 laps!
Our heartfelt thanks go out to Keith Greenough and the Burnham Beeches Rotarians team, who helped us organise the event, not only on the day, but in the lead up too! Thank you SO much, we really do appreciate everything you've done!
