We are so pleased that the Burnham Care & Share volunteers won the Highly Commended Group Award in the Pride of Bucks! We have 28 volunteers, of all ages, including uni students, listeners, drivers and more. Each person helps make the running of Care & Share a seamless operation and we are extremely grateful for the time they give up.

We decided what better way to celebrate and express our thanks than holding a drinks reception at Taplow House Hotel. The hotel were keen to get involved with our fabulous project, having been to talk to them before. Their lovely events coordinator helped us to plan the event and we invited the staff, trustees and volunteers from Burnham Health Promotion Trust, Burnham Care & Share, St Peters Church and Maidenhead Foodshare.

Without input from everyone mentioned above, we would not have been able to run Care & Share so effectively for 3 years, yes 3 whole years, so it was also our anniversary! Our trustee Dr Daily and Rev Janet said a few words and it was a great chance for the volunteers to catch up and put names to faces from the group chat, having been set up during covid there were people who hadn't met before!

It was a lovely couple of hours and we look forward to many more years working together.
