Dawn Harries – Head of Community Wellbeing

Dawn served as a Trustee for three years before becoming the Head of Community Wellbeing in 2019. A retired Chartered Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives, she brings extensive experience from private practice, local government, and housing. In her role at the Trust, she leads on the schools project, helps turn the Trustees’ vision into practical action, and acts as a key link between the team and the Trustees. Dawn is passionate about responding to local needs and adapting the Trust’s approach to ensure it remains relevant and effective. It is important to her that we use our strong relationships within the community to achieve better outcomes for everyone.

She is married with 2 children and 2 grand children who she loves to spend time with. Her interests include gardening, reading and cooking.

Lisa Pope – Community Wellbeing and Care & Share Coordinator

Lisa has been part of the Trust for the past 13 years. With her background as an NHS Midwife, she brings valuable health knowledge and experience to her role. During her time with the Trust, she has led and contributed to several major projects, including the school survey, the establishment of Burnham Care & Share, and the Women’s Wellbeing Days. Lisa also works closely with partner organisations to provide support across the community, most recently collaborating with Burnham Parish Council on the development of the new Trim Trail.

Outside of work Lisa enjoys going to the theatre, swimming, painting and girly weekends away.

Gemma Ford – Community Wellbeing and Marketing Coordinator

Gemma joined the Trust in 2019 and brings extensive experience from her previous work in benefits, housing, economic development, and children’s services - giving her a strong foundation in social care. This background is invaluable when supporting residents with signposting to the right agencies. Since joining the Trust, Gemma has launched several impactful initiatives, including establishing Job Club in 2023, which has already helped more than 35 people secure employment. She is also involved in delivering Singing for Your Memory and leads our social media and marketing activities.

Outside of work she enjoys crafting, reading and lots of walking!

Janneke Willems – Clerk to the Trustees / Administrative Assistant

Janneke joined the Trust in August 2023 and provides administrative support within the office. She brings a strong background in Human Resources and Training in the hospitality sector, having worked for Hilton Hotels, Radisson, and Park Inn Hotels across the UK, as well as delivering training internationally.

Janneke has two daughters who attend local schools, and at weekends she enjoys walking, exploring museums, zoos & castles, reading, and playing board games. She is also involved with the running of the PTA at her youngest daughter’s school.

Margaret Townsend – Care & Share Duty Manager / Administrative Support

Margaret joined the Trust in September 2023, having previously volunteered with Care & Share. She retired from renal nursing in 2020 after more than 40 years in the NHS, where she worked as a Staff Nurse, Manager, and Teacher. In her current role, she manages the client database for the Care & Share Foodbank, oversees food stock, and supports clients during face‑to‑face sessions.

In her spare time, Margaret enjoys the outdoors and can often be found hiking, cycling, or running in different parts of the country.

Margaret works Tuesday 10am - 4pm.
